A Briston watch stands out for its essentially watchmaking DNA and its sporty-chic spirit. It is the “British” spirit that the English have mastered to perfection, from the Oxford campuses to the polo fields and rowing races. It is a chic, casual and extravagant style, which was quickly adopted in the United States from the 1950s onwards. This style of sportswear, also known as “preppy”, attracted Ivy League students, starting with the most famous of them all, the iconic John F. Kennedy, and went on to become the success of brands such as Tommy Hilfiger, Ralph Lauren, Gant and Brooks Brothers...

This sport-chic spirit is reflected in the shapes, colours and materials of Briston's first collection. The Clubmaster breaks new ground with its tortoiseshell acetate case, which until now had only been used for glasses. A noble and natural material that gives Briston watches an unmistakable look.
